Atelier La Patine

I really enjoyed the workshop! It was fun to get to choose our own leather (that's maybe the most difficult part of the process...they're all so beautiful) and leave with a purse that's so uniquely mine. I appreciated that Diane took the time to explain each step so well, and was able to switch into English from time to time when I was fuzzy on the French vocabulary. Highly recommend.

I did a workshop at Atelier la Patine a little bit ago with one of my good friends and got to make the Autumn purse while it was still available. Both my friend and I had asked for an Atelier session as a Christmas present from our siblings and it was a gift with the perfect mix of “experience” (you spend an afternoon learning something new & having an enjoyable time 😊) and physical present since you end up leaving with your own unique purse. Diane is an expert in what she does, full of answers to our numerous questions about the leather, the process, and all the “wait am I doing this right??”. She is so patient and attentive all the while making the atelier fun and exciting with her bubbly personality. My friend and I had initially heard about the Atelier La Patine by word of mouth and became 100% convinced to sign up for an atelier when we went to a “Mercredi La Patine” apéro and made leather tassle keychains while having some wine and snacks at Diane’s atelier ! (You can get an invite to a Mercredi La Patine apéro by signing up for the newsletter on the website or by trying out your luck via her Instagram contests. And they’re free ! 🎉) All in all I had a great experience at Atelier La Patine and I sincerely recommend it as a gift to a friend or mom or sister, or as a gift to yourself. I’ll be back soon for a new purse 😊
